FLY tours its concerts and outreach performances all over Texas (and other states as well). They are ready to come to your community, too. Last season’s record: 61 concerts (with 61 standing ovations), 108 outreach performances, 10 sold-out performances at the Kennedy Center’s Theater Lab. More at Recent Touring Activity.

Because FLY Dance Company is Texas-based, travel time and expenses are frequently less reducing the overall cost of bringing FLY to your community.

Performance Fees

Performance Descriptions

Concerts—Full concerts are approximately 90 minutes with intermission; "meet and greet" after concert on request; costumed with lighting; requires technicians and technical rehearsal. Mini-concerts are approximately 55 minutes without intermission.

School/Outreach—50-minute (approx.) curriculum-based shows with Q&A on request; performed in standard FLY T-shirt and pants (no costume changes); “low or no tech” shows with house lights-up for audience participation; fees as listed apply to each separate venue.

Other Outreach Activities with Same Fees as School/Outreach

Dance Workshops—60-minute (approx.) workshops limited to 50 students.

Lec/Dem—“Street Smarts for Teachers”; 60-minute (approx.) lecture/demonstration.

When TEXAS Fees Apply

This “TEXAS” performance fee schedule applies to venues within Texas but more than 25 miles from the FLY Dance Company office at 1924 Brun Street, Houston, TX 77019. When within 25 miles of the FLY office, the Houston-Area fees apply.

Touring Expenses

Touring expenses include airfare (if any), ground transportation (usually a rented SUV), lodging, and per diem at $40 per touring staff (currently five). If the trip is short with no overnight stay, expenses are normally limited to mileage at $.35 per mile and $10 per person per meal.

All-Inclusive Fees on Request

All-inclusive fees (performance fee plus FLY’s touring expenses) will be quoted on request. The fees listed above are performance fee only and require that the presenter be responsible for FLY’s touring expenses as well as production and promotional expenses.
